1. Respecting Other Members
CorrectionsNation requires that all members who post a blog or who
comment in the discussions, groups, or on any other content
respectfully interact with other members. Personal attacks towards
other members will not be permitted at anytime. Discussions may
also be taken offline via private messages between members. It is
important that CorrectionsNation provides a respectful, welcoming
environment.
2. Topics
CorrectionsNation understands that discussion topics may evolve and
change over time. However, if you are posting to a specific
discussion, please try to stay focused on the same topic throughout
the life of the thread. If your post is not related to the original
topic, please start a new discussion.
3. Multiple Posts
In the interest of maintaining an organized, user-friendly web
site, please refrain from posting repetitive comments or
discussions wherever possible.
4. Deliberate Posting of Offensive or Contentious
Messages
Unfortunately, we in the correctional community must deal with
individuals who are looking to bait or attack us. Posting messages
that attack a person's character, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual
orientation, intelligence or any form of degradation will not be
tolerated. Any unjustified attacks on the law enforcement
profession will not be allowed..
5. Sexual Content and Profanity
While mild joking is OK, discussions or comments that are directed
towards sex will not be allowed. If a discussion gets out of hand
it will be locked or deleted. Sexual solicitation or innuendos will
not be tolerated. Furthermore, we request that profanity be kept to
a minimum.
6. Copyright/Trademarked Material
Please refrain from uploading or posting any content that infringes
any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary
rights of any party.
7. Removal of Posts
CorrectionsNation encourages free speech and the open sharing of
thoughts and information; however, CorrectionsNation management
maintains the right to remove anything that is deemed thoroughly
unprofessional or offensive.
8. Profile Policy
CorrectionsNation is intended for use by members of the
correctional community, including potential, current and former
correctional professionals and their family and friends.
CorrectionsNation also invites the public, or non-correctional
community, to become members and to participate by asking questions
of legitimate concern, by posting information that is informative
and by contributing expertise from a non-correctional perspective.
Using this site inappropriately to spam/advertise or to solicit
members in any way will result in account termination. Commercial
entities are not allowed to create member accounts on behalf of
their company or solicit existing members to purchase products or
services.
CORRECTIONSNATION MANAGEMENT MAINTAINS THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE A
MEMBER'S ACCOUNT FOR ANY PERCEIVED VIOLATION OF THE MEMBER CONDUCT
POLICY.
