Corrections Nation

Member Conduct Policies

1. Respecting Other Members

CorrectionsNation requires that all members who post a blog or who comment in the discussions, groups, or on any other content respectfully interact with other members. Personal attacks towards other members will not be permitted at anytime. Discussions may also be taken offline via private messages between members. It is important that CorrectionsNation provides a respectful, welcoming environment.

2. Topics

CorrectionsNation understands that discussion topics may evolve and change over time. However, if you are posting to a specific discussion, please try to stay focused on the same topic throughout the life of the thread. If your post is not related to the original topic, please start a new discussion.

3. Multiple Posts

In the interest of maintaining an organized, user-friendly web site, please refrain from posting repetitive comments or discussions wherever possible.

4. Deliberate Posting of Offensive or Contentious Messages

Unfortunately, we in the correctional community must deal with individuals who are looking to bait or attack us. Posting messages that attack a person's character, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, intelligence or any form of degradation will not be tolerated. Any unjustified attacks on the law enforcement profession will not be allowed..

5. Sexual Content and Profanity

While mild joking is OK, discussions or comments that are directed towards sex will not be allowed. If a discussion gets out of hand it will be locked or deleted. Sexual solicitation or innuendos will not be tolerated. Furthermore, we request that profanity be kept to a minimum.

6. Copyright/Trademarked Material

Please refrain from uploading or posting any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party.

7. Removal of Posts

CorrectionsNation encourages free speech and the open sharing of thoughts and information; however, CorrectionsNation management maintains the right to remove anything that is deemed thoroughly unprofessional or offensive.
