I love everything about lock downs! The only downside is when it's due to staff being harmed.

bad- if its due to staff being injured

bad- having to feed your unit..all meals

bad-seems like the inmates become more annoying asking for everything

good- its prison, sit in your cell, do your time..

good- the yard is quiet

good- this is the time we find most of our contraband, cell searches

we had a riot bout a month ago, inmates assaulted 2 officers(later recovered), used ofc's keys to open up all cells, 250 inmates on wild spree, and completely damaged both wings of the unit..it houses our ME inmates... and its now become our other SMU(max)..we have to do the normal feeding, showers, pass out law books, laundry.. we do it all, it is very busy and can physically draining at times, and will burn out an Ofc thats there all the time..
