Garet, you are correct!  I do work behind the walls of a prison.

Hey Tommy,

You must work behind the walls of a prison.  I didn't see any references to a Taser, baton or a gun holster. That being said, you've got a MUCH lighter belt than I have.

On my belt, from the buckle and moving left to right:

double magazine holder

Caribiner holding duty gloves with reinforced knuckles

26" expandable baton with Hindi cap

keeper

Radio

(beneath the radio- and secured on my underbelt- are my Taser, 2 extra cartidges and my OC canister)

a smaller pair of steel S&W handcuffs

pouch for extra latex gloves

keeper w/hidden handcuff key attached

empty space

keeper

glove pouch

holster for duty weapon (Glock 19)

key holder clip

keeper

key holder clip

Peerless handcuffs (with a Tuff Tie handcuffs wrapped around them)

That's it.

I have a holster for my back-up in my right cargo pocket (my BUG is a Glock 26)

I run the wire for my mic and earpiece up through my shirt so that they are not exposed for inmates to f*ck with.

Question: in your dept., are you allowed to set the belt up however you choose or do they tell you what order they want everything in?

I'm amazed at how many officers DON'T carry TASERS or spray. I work in a municipal jail with less than 100 beds, but we are issued Freeze +P and X-26 TASERs. Both have served me well in dicey situations and I can't see working without them.

Left to right:

Normal duty belt

key keeper, Mk 4 OC case, Gerber multi-tool, CPR mask, single cuff pouch, Surefire 9P flashlight, key keeper, latex glove pouch.

Escourt Duty Belt

Double 9mm mag pouch, Mk4 OC, CPR mask, single cuff pouch, H&K P2000

The CPR masks are a policy for us.

RIGHT TO LEFT- BADGE, O.C; BK(BELTKEEPER), KEY HOLDER, SINGLE CUFF CASE, BK, GLOVE POUCH, BK, MINIMAGLIGHT, RADIO, BK SINGLE CUFF CASE...

Buckle starting on the left; 2 mag clips, 9 mm holster, pepper spray, single cuff holder, single cuff holder, radio, tazer. ( the 9mm and clips are for transport only, they are empty when we are on the floor).

i carry a flashlight just behind my left hip pocket, glove/mouth sheild pouch over my right rear pocket, radio on my right hip, and keys in my pocket. i hate the jingle.
